What a day looks like as a Behavioral Healthcare Manager

• Conduct pediatric behavioral health assessments (in-person or via telehealth).
• Develop and update individualized care plans for children and adolescents.
• Coordinate services with providers, schools, community agencies, and family supports.
• Communicate with families via phone, telehealth, and secure messaging.
• Collaborate with a psychiatric consultant and clinical team on pediatric cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavioral health field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric behavioral health, mental health, or case management.
• Experience may include social work, counseling, or other behavioral health roles (licensure not required).
• Ability to effectively use phone, telehealth, and virtual communication tools.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric mental health conditions, community resources, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Must reside in South Carolina
• Flexible remote, hybrid, or on-site options.
• Must be able to work in a confidential, professional remote setting when using telehealth.
• Indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment.
• May at times work under stressful situations.
