About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that underpin our production workflows, client portals, and internal applications. Your expertise will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure, supporting our print and mail operations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and security are paramount.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and client services, to deliver innovative and reliable technology solutions. The role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work, provided you are within commuting distance to our Anaheim location. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm PST, with flexible start times between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm PST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a backend developer or software engineer
• Proven experience in building APIs, microservices, or distributed applications
• Strong SQL proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Experience with version control systems like SVN
• Knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure coding standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data workflows to support internal and client-facing applications
• Integrate systems related to job submission, data processing, production tracking, and reporting
• Build and optimize database structures to support high-volume transactional operations
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues promptly to ensure operational continuity
• Collaborate with front-end developers to align user-facing features with backend functionality
• Implement application security measures, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards such as SOC, HIPAA, and PCI
• Develop comprehensive documentation, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvements
