Job Overview

Glazton LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable Auto Glass Technician Trainee to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong mechanical aptitude, and are interested in building a long-term career in the automotive glass industry. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn windshield replacement, auto glass repair, ADAS calibration support, customer service, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with windshield replacements and auto glass installations.
• Learn proper removal and installation techniques for windshields, door glass, back glass, and other automotive glass components.
• Prepare vehicles and work areas before service.
• Assist with vehicle protection, cleanup, and post-installation inspections.
• Learn to safely use tools, materials, and equipment required for automotive glass work.
• Help maintain inventory, organize tools, and keep service vehicles and workspaces clean.
• Support technicians with mobile service appointments and customer interactions.
• Complete training programs and demonstrate proficiency in company procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate work documentation and follow company policies.

Requirements

• No prior auto glass experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for work-related tasks.
• Must be able to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, construction, maintenance, body shop, or other hands-on trades.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Previous customer service experience.
