What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Respond to inquiries by email, phone, and in-person regarding departmental issues
• Maintain data and department records, including class syllabi and evaluations
• Coordinate logistics for department seminar guests, including scheduling and reimbursements
• Manage communication and paperwork for incoming UW VISIT students (J1 & J2 Visa processing)
• Oversee department webpages and collaborate with marketing teams for updates

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED and three years of office or administrative support experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new software
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, staff, and guests in a multicultural environment
• Flexibility and a dynamic attitude towards adapting to changing needs

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of University of Washington systems and procedures, including Workday Finance and Salesforce
• Familiarity with PhotoShop and WordPress
• Previous office experience in a university setting
