Job Title: 12-Volt Technician – Audio, Alarms, Lighting & Accessories

CoaterZ is growing and we are looking for an experienced 12-Volt Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean installs, understands wiring, and can work on high-end vehicles without cutting corners.
This position will focus on installing automotive electronics, audio, lighting, security systems, radar/laser systems, and vehicle accessories.
Responsibilities:
Install and troubleshoot:
- Car audio systems
- Speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and head units
- Alarms and remote start systems
- LED lighting, underglow, rock lights, and accent lighting
- Radar detectors and laser defense systems
- Dash cameras and backup cameras
- Vehicle accessories and electronic upgrades
- Truck and Jeep accessories when needed
Requirements:
- Experience with 12-volt automotive wiring
- Ability to diagnose electrical issues
- Clean and professional installation work
- Experience removing and reinstalling panels properly
- Must be comfortable working on luxury, exotic, and daily driver vehicles
- Must have your own basic tools
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail
- Good attitude and willingness to work with a team
- Ability to keep work area clean and organized
Preferred Experience:
- Car audio installation
- Radar and laser system installation
- Alarm and remote start experience
- Custom lighting installs
- Fabrication or custom panel work is a plus
- MECP certification is a plus but not required
