Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role requires strong knowledge of commercial real estate accounting, lease structures, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with property management systems.

Scope

• Full-cycle accounting for commercial properties
• Month-end close, journal entries, and financial statements
• Lease accounting including rent, CAM, recoveries, and straight-line rent
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• AP/AR review and coordination with property managers
• Budget support, variance analysis, and audit assistance

Software

• Must have Yardi experience – non-negotiable.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Required Education And Experience

• Must have CPA/CA/MBA degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
• 6+ years of total experience in RTR, GL profile. Strong accounting knowledge.
• 3+ years of experience as property accountant (Commercial Accounting is must), preferably in the real estate or property management sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of real estate accounting principles and regulations is must.
