Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours/week, at least three days working onsite per week, including occasional evenings and weekends
As a member of the Education Department, the School Programs Assistant contributes to the Department’s role as producers of pedagogical and public programming and resources for youth and their adult counterparts (caregivers, educators, community members). Education team members foster deep and sustained relationships with Bay Area communities such as Bay Area K-12 schools (particularly San Francisco Unified School District), and education and community organizations (such as the San Francisco Public Library and summer learning programs). The department’s pedagogical approach centers inquiry, collaboration, dialogue, debate, a plurality of opinions, evidentiary reasoning, and multi-modal experiences. At our core is a foundation of teaching and learning, not just for others but for ourselves as well.
Under the supervision of the Manager of School Programs, the School Programs Assistant is responsible for the scheduling and data management of K-12 and Higher Education visits and programs to ensure the effective delivery, and smooth running of these programs. The position is also responsible for ensuring the assembly and distribution of resources for use in K-12 school programs (including guided tours, teacher-guided visits, and outreach efforts) and supports the logistics of K-12 and Higher Education school visits. The position serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries about scheduling K-12 School and Higher Education visits at SFMOMA.

This is a union position subject to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
