Salary Details
While GA positions are unpaid, the NJCAA will cover all expenses associated with obtaining an MBA from one of our partner schools. In addition there is a $1,000 stipend at the end of the fall and spring semesters with proof of successfully completing school requirements.

Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Multimedia team, the Multimedia Graduate Assistant assists in creating engaging content and provides technical production and scheduling assistance with NJCAA Championships on the NJCAA Network and ESPN.
Duties and Responsibilities
Required
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned:
- Assist in content creation on the NJCAA Network. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, video editing, creating highlights, the building of graphics or other creative elements, developing content for social media, and organizing interviews.
- Help with the organization of NJCAA Championship Streaming. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, logo resizing, commercial formatting, coordinating with host and production team, and updating the website.
- Support the marketing/media department while following brand guidelines to seek content creation opportunities that exist throughout the association such as feature digital storytelling, highlight videos, and interviews.
- Assist in maintaining video and production equipment as necessary for the NJCAA Studio, as well as for the marketing and communications department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required with a major/minor in video production, communications, multimedia, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Previous experience in a content or communications field preferred, specifically in the college athletics industry, with general knowledge of video production, video editing, and social media platforms.
A strong command of Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, or relatable video editing software.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in video production software, sports terminology, sports writing, photo editing, and video editing.
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to establish positive public relations and to interact effectively with staff, member colleges, athletic directors, student-athletes, fans and the public.
Demonstrated customer service, organization, leadership, planning, and conflict management.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with team members, member colleges, athletic directors, student-athletes and the public.
Problem solving skills, judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information.
The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Must be efficient and organized with a high level of attention to detail.
