Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in substation electrical and utility construction to support major underground line projects within the UCMP Major Projects Group. This is a fully onsite role within the EMA region, with final business unit location assigned based on project needs.
Experience Required
- 10–15 years of experience in construction management
- Strong focus on substation electrical and utility construction projects
- Proven experience managing large-scale underground line work and utility infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities for substation and underground utility projects
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope and budget
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve field issues as they arise
- Review schedules, materials, and resource planning to maintain project timelines
- Maintain documentation, reports, and communication with project leadership
Work Environment
- Fully onsite role in the EMA region
- Initial assignment will default to Dorchester until a project location is finalized
- No clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with utility companies or large infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of substation construction standards, underground line work, and safety compliance
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Pay: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
Experience:
- Construction Manager: 10 years (Preferred)
- substation electrical and utility construction: 10 years (Preferred)
- Underground Line Work: 5 years (Preferred)
