Company Description: Accel and DST-backed enterprise AI startup, $6M seed, Fortune 500 customers, SF, team of 10
Job Description:
Join a 10-person team building the work intelligence layer for the world’s largest companies. This company embeds into the systems and processes Fortune 500 customers already rely on, captures how work actually gets done across desktop and physical environments, and shows where AI and automation can have the highest impact. Customers include globally recognized names across financial services, retail, and insurance, with average deal sizes of $150K ARR on annual commitments only. Backed by Accel and DST straight to institutional with no accelerator, processing over 3TB of inference per week, and moving toward foundational world model research and autonomous agent deployment. As a Full Stack Engineer you will build the API layer, business logic, and frontend that turns one of the richest enterprise datasets on earth into usable software for C-suite and VP-level users. 75% of the work is net new, mostly building not maintaining.
Why this role is remarkable:
– Work on a genuinely novel problem space, not an AI notetaker and not a wrapper, but the data layer for the autonomous enterprise, processing over 3TB of inference per week from some of the richest organizational datasets in existence, backed by Accel and DST with Fortune 500 customers already paying $150K ARR annual commitments
– Own the product layer end to end with 75% net new development, sit in on enterprise customer calls 1 to 2 times per week so you always know why you are building what you are building, and contribute directly to product thinking and system design alongside the founders and CTO in a team of 10
– Exceptional comp structure with $180K to $250K base, $30K to $100K in equity at current valuation, a $10K meal stipend, a $12K healthcare stipend, and a paid on-site work trial with flights and hotel covered before you even accept the offer
What you will do:
– Build out the API layer, business logic, and frontend to make the core data ontology accessible and useful for enterprise customers, focusing primarily on backend development at roughly 80% with some frontend work at 20%, using TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, AWS, GCP, and Docker
– Develop new features from scratch at roughly 75% of your time, collaborate directly with the founders and CTO on product thinking and system design, and engage with enterprise customer context by sitting in on calls to understand user needs and business impact at the C-suite and VP level
– Use AI agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor as a core part of your workflow, work with LLM APIs including OpenAI and Anthropic, and bring genuine product thinking to every problem rather than just executing tickets without understanding the why
The ideal candidate:
– 3 to 8 years of experience in backend-heavy software engineering, ideally from an early-stage startup between Seed and Series B, with strong TypeScript expertise, hands-on experience with NestJS, Postgres, and cloud infrastructure, and experience working with large complex data models or LLM APIs in production
– A track record of going from 1 to 100, building and scaling systems under real data pressure, with a CS degree or equivalent background, and at least one personal spike whether that is open source work, side projects, competitive sports, research, or founder experience that signals you are the kind of person who builds things outside of work too
– Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, genuinely excited to engage with enterprise customers, and not coming from a large consulting background like Infosys, Tata, or Cognizant without evidence of hands-on early-stage product engineering

A quick note on authenticity: This is a real, active role we are supporting in close partnership with the hiring team. We do not post speculative roles and work closely with teams on their actual hiring needs.
