Camps Director and Operations Assistant Full Time NEW

VBAdrenaline is looking for an energetic and self-motivated team player to take over their Camp Director and Operations position. This is a vital position within the company as they will inherit a fast growing department that has worlds of possibilities and growth. The candidates must be able to travel and run camps, plus have administrative experience and work in the operations field. This is a contracted position with pay in the $5k-$6k p/ month range depending on experience with incentive bonuses available after the first 6 months.

Position: Organize, schedule, and head up events for the fastest growing recruiting company in the volleyball landscape.

What You’ll Do:

As an Event Coordinator for VBAdrenaline, you’ll take the lead in assembling event staff to man upcoming events while helping to coordinate, plan, and facilitate the scheduling and planning of future events. You’ll oversee all aspects of event execution—you will have managerial say in the volleyball end of planning, scheduling, and execution of events—ensuring that each event runs seamlessly and reflects VBAdrenaline’s mission and goals regarding the athletes, safety, and involvement of all attending. You will be in charge of suggesting new staff needs and hiring those staff. You’ll collaborate to organize scheduling, details, and event execution, ensuring a smooth experience both on-site and behind the scenes. As the Event Coordinator, you’ll be the link between ownership and the workers, athletes, and patrons attending, ensuring that camps are successful, growing, and as forward-thinking as the company itself.

Our Story:

VBAdrenaline is a small media and recruiting company that has helped try and grow and promote the sport for over 13 years now. First, in our home state of South Dakota, with a lone X account and now growing to a national recruiting website, we combine events that have helped educate thousands of prep athletes across the country and provide the most accurate recruiting rankings in the USA. 

In addition to our content, VBAdrenaline has now begun to run Recruiting Combines that offer the opportunity for ANY college prospect to receive fair/honest evaluations without human bias while actually sending results and promoting each of the athletes to every one of the NCAA institutions. We have spent over 2 1/2 years talking with the top programs in America about what they are truly looking for in recruiting and have coupled all of that information into a first of it’s kind COMBINE event series that can help change prep showcases in the sport. We are looking for the perfect person to guide that growth in our company.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead: Event team growth to increase the number of events we can run.
• Build: Community relationships, spreading education on the benefits of the COMBINE and our events to the VB public.
• Schedule: Future camps with clubs and coordinate our calendar accordingly.
• Organization: Timeline and keep things moving in order and work on long-range tasks as you do day-to-day objectives as well.
• Manage: Budgets, spending and projections and report to the Owner while you look at staffing and needs in order to predict staffing of growth, ordering of supplies, equipment and best ways to grow.
• Achieve: Rapid success in the marketplace is an expectation. The events are set up to be successful NOW, so we are looking for someone who is driven and will take the job on starting 5 minutes ago.

Must-Haves in a Candidate

• Experienced: Experience in event management, operations, or sports administration.
• Multi-Tasker: Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Communication: Effectively and confidently selling and communicating our product with all in the industry—including event staff, participants, and the Event Operations Team—to ensure alignment and smooth execution
• TEAM PLAYER: You are working for the brand and your job is to increase it’s exposure and recognition. The position is to run more camps and make them successful.
• Problem-Solver: Anticipates challenges and identifies creative, effective solutions under pressure.
• Accountable: Take ownership of outcomes and hold event staff to Prep Network’s standards for quality and professionalism.
• Nights and Weekends will be part of the job: Volleyball events unfortunately take place on the weekends so there are times you will travel and work part of a weekend, but there are also flexible times in your schedule.
• Self-Motivated: Operate independently with initiative, reliability, and follow-through.
• Curious: Continuously looks for ways to improve event quality, efficiency, and the overall participant experience.
• Company Work Ethic: VBAdrenaline is about taking pride in how hard you work and the hard work you put into your job and doing it better than our competition. We expect to be the best and because of our size we have to outwork others. This is a company expectation.

Work Eligibility

At this time, VBAdrenaline is engaging contractors who are authorized to work in the United States and able to accept payment through the U.S. banking and tax system (Form 1099-NEC)

Remote work (you can work from home most of the time)

Any airfare, hotel stays and event fees are paid

Expense account for clients will be afforded to you

You will be able to help design and work out a budget for hiring event staff

Will also be responsible for office work with camps, bills, budget

Will work very closely with our social media manager to promote and grow the camp accounts
