Marine Travel Lift Operator Full Time

Marine Travelift Heavy Equipment Operator:

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

• Haul Out Vessels with Marine Travelifts.
• Pressure Washing and Blocking Up Vessels.
• Crane Operation for stepping/unstopping mast
• Fork truck operation
• Towing and moving vessels overland using a hydraulic trailer
• Performing the basic maintenance/service requirements of yard machinery
• Supporting the service department during spring commissioning and fall decommissioning

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of heavy equipment operation experience
• Equipment certifications are a plus but not necessary
• Must be able to follow directions and work well within large groups of people
• Must be able to meet the requirements of the schedule, i.e., being at work as scheduled and on time
• Ability to wear a respirator as required
• Must wear personal protection equipment

• 80 & 50 ton travelift
• Grove RT58 Crane
• Fork lifts
• Trucks
• Hydraulic trailer
• Grinders/sanders/polishers
• Scissorlifts
• Snorkelifts
• Gradall

BELOW CRITERIA APPLIES TO ALL SEAVIEW TECHNICIANS

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Outdoors most of the time
• Occasional extreme outdoor temperatures and weather.
• Occasional exposure to extreme heights.
• Rare exposure to adverse ventilation conditions where use of a respirator will be required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Flexibility to work in the standing, squatting, or kneeling position, as well as reaching overhead with occasional twisting and bending while performing any of the above tasks.
• Stair and ladder climbing is required.
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Minimal lifting required above 50 lbs.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

• Schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm.
• Occasional After Hours Emergency Haul Outs Required and during Summer there could be 2-3 Saturdays from 8am-4 pm, and from time to time it may be necessary to work additional shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
