The role

We are looking for a hands-on Associate Creative Director to lead creative execution across both PROVEN Skincare and Noteworthy. You give direction, write briefs, and still get into the work yourself. You will report to the Director of Brand Marketing, working closely with them on overall creative direction for both brands and directing the contract designers and copywriters who execute against it. You will not have internal direct reports initially.

PROVEN is further along on AI in creative production than most brands. You’ll be using internal AI tools daily to generate variations, explore directions, and produce assets, bringing your craft judgment to make sure the output meets the bar.

What you will do

• Work with the Director of Brand Marketing on overall creative direction across both brands
• Lead and direct contract designers and copywriters
• Write briefs, give feedback, and review work to ensure output meets brand and quality standards
• Get hands-on across digital, social, email, and paid creative
• Use Claude and other AI tools to accelerate creative development while maintaining a high bar on output
• Concept and execute campaign creative from brief to final delivery
• Maintain brand consistency across every touchpoint: PDPs, ads, email, social, and packaging extensions
• Collaborate with paid media on performance creative
• Manage AI-generated creative output against brand quality control standards
• Contribute to ongoing brand evolution through visual exploration and refinement

Who you are

• 7 to 10 years of design experience with a strong background in graphic design; copywriting experience is a plus
• Strong portfolio demonstrating range across digital, social, email, campaign, and brand work
• You have given creative direction to other designers and copywriters: briefing, reviewing, elevating
• Hands-on Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); basic motion/video editing skills
• Genuine interest in using AI as a creative tool (Claude, Midjourney, Sora, Runway, or similar)
• Strong typography and layout instincts; you sweat the details on kerning and grid
• Beauty, wellness, fragrance, fashion, or DTC experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable working within established brand systems while pushing them forward
• Self-directed and scrappy. This is a small team and you will ship without heavy oversight
• Bachelor’s degree in design or relevant experience

Compensation

$110,000 to $120,000 base, plus bonus and equity.
