Job Description Strategic Messaging Internship This internship offers a distinctive chance to acquire practical communication skills within a close-knit contractor-military team. The Strategic Messaging team is charged with understanding the government’s strategic direction and turning that into actionable messaging via media platforms such as YouTube and LinkedIn. The team will work directly with the plans and programs department of the government and the contractor multi-media team to create original content and then publish that content on social media. As the Strategic Messaging Intern, you’ll collaborate closely with our creative team to craft projects directly influencing courses aimed at educating US Space Force Guardians at the National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs, CO. Throughout this 10-week program, you will gain exposure to every facet of the Strategic Messaging Team’s workflow and receive mentorship from seasoned professionals. You’ll leverage your experience in communications to tailor messaging for the Space Force Education.
The internship will start no earlier than May 25th, 2026, and end no later than July 24th, 2026. Hours worked per week for this internship are not to exceed 30 hours.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the creative team to conceptualize and develop multimedia projects.
Create basic visual effects and animations using After Effects and other tools.
Compose original content for social media publication.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Assist with other multimedia-related tasks and projects as needed.
Be ready and willing to learn new techniques and tools.
Mentorship and guidance from experienced industry professionals.

Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Communications, etc.).
Knowledge of posting techniques and software.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
