Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring software quality and performance before product releases. This role is ideal for recent graduates or entry-level candidates looking to build a career in software testing and QA.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Execute test cases and document testing results accurately.
- Identify, report, and track software bugs and defects.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
- Conduct functional, regression, usability, and integration testing.
- Verify software meets business and technical requirements.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and QA activities.
- Support automation testing initiatives when applicable.
- Ensure software quality before deployment and release.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or technical support roles.
- Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, or automation testing tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Postman is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies preferred.
- Internship or academic project experience in software testing is an advantage.
