About the firm
Howard Genzon LLP is a boutique law firm headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA, focused on surety law, construction litigation, business litigation and real-property matters. Our senior attorneys lead matters from start to finish and play a meaningful role in shaping case strategy, business development, and the next generation of associates.
The role
We are hiring a Senior Litigation Associate (7+ years) to lead complex matters from intake through trial or resolution. This is a role for an attorney who wants real ownership, meaningful client relationships, and a hand in shaping how the firm practices.
What you will do
– Lead complex litigation matters from intake to disposition
– Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with partners
– First-chair depositions, motion arguments, hearings, and trials
– Serve as primary client contact for sophisticated clients and carriers
– Contribute to business development, client retention, and firm marketing
Required
– Active California Bar membership in good standing
– 7+ years of California civil litigation experience
– Track record of independently managing complex matters
– Demonstrated trial, arbitration, or substantive motion experience
– Strong client management and supervisory skills
Preferred (not required)
– Surety, construction, mechanic’s lien, business or real-property litigation experience
– Established book of business or carrier/client relationships
Location and schedule
Fully Remote position / Hybrid optional.
Compensation and benefits
$170,000 to $200,000, depending on experience. Discretionary performance bonus. Medical/dental/vision, PTO, and CA Bar dues.

Pay: $170,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
