Job Title: Industrial Production Associate
Job Description
handling documentation, assisting with automated production lines, and performing general labor tasks. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, safe material handling, and smooth workflow across paper processing and production areas.
Responsibilities
Maintain thorough documentation control for inventory, shipments, and production records.
Identify, record, and help resolve production errors, ensuring issues are properly logged and communicated.
Clear and fix paper jams on automated paper pressing and related production systems.
Operate or assist with a lifting pulley system to move materials safely and efficiently.
Move materials to and from automated paper pressing system lines and other production areas.
Perform general labor tasks, including packing, assembly, and basic production support.
Use hand tools safely and correctly as required for shipping, receiving, and production tasks.
Follow established safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
Read, understand, and follow written instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines.
Stand, bend, climb, and lift materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed to support warehouse and production operations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) based on the task, including gloves, steel toe shoes, respirators, and other gear as required.
Maintain attention to detail and visual and listening acuity to monitor equipment, follow directions, and identify potential issues.
Support continuous improvement efforts by following best practices and suggesting process enhancements when appropriate.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, documentation, and safety information.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
Ability to climb, bend, and stand for long periods during the shift.
Experience with shipping and receiving tasks in a warehouse or production environment.
Proficiency in documentation control and maintaining accurate records.
Basic experience using hand tools in a work setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures consistently and use required PPE.
Good visual and listening acuity to monitor equipment, follow directions, and retain instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with automated production or paper pressing systems.
Familiarity with logging production errors and working within a quality-focused environment.
Comfort working in a structured, safety-oriented warehouse setting.
Ability to retain instructions and apply them accurately over time.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in different areas of shipping, receiving, and production as needed.

Work Environment
You will work around automated paper pressing systems and other production equipment, using hand tools and material handling devices such as lifting pulley systems. The position involves standing for extended periods, as well as regular bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves, steel toe shoes, respirators, and other gear depending on the task, is required and provided in accordance with safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
