VP Sales – North America Full Time

We’re looking for a VP Sales – North America in the architectural and specification led building products industry, based in Irvine, California.

Our client is a high growth, premium building products manufacturer serving architectural, specification driven, builder and commercial markets across the U.S. This is a transformation and hunter leadership role for a sales executive who knows how to create urgency, build hunting capability, and drive results through people. The VP Sales – North America will be accountable for changing behavior, elevating performance, and delivering sustained revenue and margin growth.

This role exists because growth now requires stronger sales leadership, sharper accountability, and an active hunting mindset across the organization. The VP will lead from the front, train and mentor a developing leadership layer, and install a culture of push, pace, and ownership.

VP Sales – North America responsibilities:

• Own North American sales performance, growth and margin delivery
• Act as a change agent who drives urgency, accountability and active selling
• Build a hunter led sales culture across internal teams and channels
• Train, coach and mentor sales leaders to consistently push their teams to hunt
• Strengthen specification led selling across architectural and builder channels
• Balance direct sales leadership with channel performance without becoming distribution dependent
• Partner closely with Marketing to turn demand into revenue, not activity
• Lead by example in prospecting, deal progression and commercial decision making

The successful candidate has:

• Senior B2B sales leadership experience in specification led or architectural products
• A proven track record building hunter driven sales teams, not just managing accounts
• Strong people development capability with the ability to challenge entrenched behaviors
• Experience driving growth in dynamic, fast moving organizations
• Comfort operating with change, ambiguity and evolving direction
• Experience scaling growth within challenger or innovation led brands is highly valued
• This role is not suited to candidates from FMCG, passive channel leadership, or account maintenance backgrounds

Compensation and benefits:

• Base salary range of $200,000 – $220,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
• Performance based incentive heavily tied to sales growth and execution
