Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Operator to join our Intermediates business at our Lima, Ohio facility. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Operations function. This position will report to the Shift Team Leader.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Utilization of a distributed control system to monitor and adjust the process
Willingness to work a rotating seven day per week schedule in all weather conditions
Ability to understand how systems work
Ability to respond to emergency situations within the limits of training and qualifications
Qualifications
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and wear respiratory protection
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
3 years’ experience in an operating environment
5 years’ experience in a petrochemical operating environment
