Role Overview
We are hiring a Technical Architect to define the architectures that the engineering organisation builds on. The role combines deep system design expertise with cross-team influence — shaping how systems fit together over the long arc.
Key Responsibilities
– Define and evolve target architecture across major platform areas
– Lead architecture reviews and technical decision processes
– Partner with engineering teams on system design and integration patterns
– Author architecture decision records, RFCs, and technical strategy documents
– Mentor senior engineers and codify architectural principles
– Evaluate emerging technologies and shape build-vs-buy decisions
Required Skills and Qualifications
– 8+ years in software engineering, with significant architecture experience
– Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
– Track record of designing systems that scaled to significant load
– Excellent written communication, including RFCs and technical strategy
– Experience influencing across teams without direct authority
– Strong mentorship and consultative leadership style
