Construction Safety Specialist Full Time NEW

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Safety Specialist to implement safety protocols during construction projects. Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to identify any unsafe conditions or practices.

Duties

• Develop and maintain safety protocols aligned with OSHA, and company corporate requirements, and other relevant standards to ensure regulatory of all construction activities.
• Conduct , hazard assessments, and risk management evaluations to identify potential safety issues when planning daily construction activities and during the daily job.
• Conduct safety talks for construction teams, emphasizing occupational health, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate and document accidents or incident, including documentation and reporting of incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Verify contractors competence related to operate heavy construction equipment, cranes, excavators
• Enforce and inspect equipment, machinery, scaffolding, ladders, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other work areas to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Oversee contractors safety behavior at the site ensuring compliance with OSHA Construction Standard.
• Provide daily required permits to perform the construction job as Hot Work Permit, Excavation Permit, Confine Space Permit, among others.
• Assessment and approval of subcontractor safety plans
• Manage the waste management plan at the site.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to construction sites.
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management strategies specific to construction environments.
• Strong background in compliance management, ensuring all activities meet legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively train teams, conduct inspections, interact with project managers, contractors and workers.
• OSHA 30-HOUR Construction Required
