Position Description: The Manager, Corporate Sponsorship is primarily responsible for driving revenue growth through both new client acquisition and the management of existing client relationships. The manager will prospect, identify, and qualify potential clients while nurturing and growing current underwriters, ensuring client satisfaction and encouraging contract renewals. Working closely with both internal teams and external clients, this position develops and implements creative, guideline-compliant strategies to engage clients across the region and grow revenue.
Primary Responsibilities: The following primary responsibilities are vital to successfully meeting the expectations of this position in an effective and efficient manner. This is not an exhaustive list and areas of focus may fluctuate between the primary and secondary responsibilities, as needed.
· Conduct research to identify, qualify, and engage potential new clients to generate revenue
· Develop creative, guideline-compliant promotional strategies for client proposals
· Manage and grow a large portfolio of client relationships to ensure satisfaction, encourage contract renewal, and drive revenue growth
· Oversee client activity, revenue, and account operations across a high-volume portfolio, including scheduling, billing, and reporting
· Own and maintain the client database within the CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of client relationships, pipeline activity, and revenue performance
· Coordinate elements of client video production, including script writing
· Maintain a strong understanding of station programming, initiatives, events, and audience data to inform client strategy
Secondary Responsibilities: These are additional activities that are expected to be performed within this position.
· Build and maintain relationships with civic and community organizations to expand networks and identify new opportunities
· Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive media landscape, including client marketing budgets and spending trends
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, with 3-5 or more years of experience in marketing, media sales or other related fields. Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experienced in tracking client relations in a CRM. Experience with project management tools like Monday.com is a plus.
Hybrid Schedule: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, typically working 2-3 days virtually each week, upon approval from supervisor. Must work on-site on Tuesdays, as well as attend all team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and all-staff meetings.
