Job Overview

The Surgical Services Scheduler performs the duties required to schedule patients for surgery. Experience with surgical scheduling is necessary, cerner experience preffered.

General Responsibilities

• Communicates any preparations needed to the patient and communicates the information to all areas within surgical services.
• Review physician orders and submit to IR/Cath per procedure protocol
• Schedule recurring/STAT procedures
• High volume patient/physician phone interaction
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PC keyboard.
• Prior Radiology/ Surgery scheduling experience
• Medical Terminology required.
• Minimal data entry skills required.
