Job Overview
Anyone that does not have verifiable painting experience will be rejected. MUST have verifiable commercial painting experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform construction estimating to determine the materials needed for each job.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure seamless project integration.
- Execute renovation tasks as required, including trim carpentry and fixture installation.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; utilize hand tools effectively.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material needs.
- Ability to perform trim carpentry tasks and general maintenance person duties as needed.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
