Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Baler Operator to join our manufacturing and waste management team on 2nd shift 3pm-11pm Monday – Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating baling equipment to efficiently compress and bundle recyclable materials or waste products, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. Responsibilities

• Operate baling machines to compress recyclable materials or waste into manageable bales, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Utilize heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to transport materials within the facility.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on baling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery, including forklifts and front loaders.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing regular cleaning tasks and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
• Support sanitation efforts by adhering to environmental standards and safety regulations during all operations.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when handling bulky or dense materials.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar equipment in a manufacturing or waste management setting.
• Knowledge of baling processes and familiarity with equipment used in recycling or waste compression.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and sanitation procedures.
• Experience working with garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, or front loader trucks is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina for manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. This position is integral to maintaining efficient operations while supporting environmentally responsible practices. Pay: From $20.50 per hour
