Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support daily menu needs
• Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety of all prepared items
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
• Aid in food service operations by portioning meals and ensuring timely delivery to customers or dining areas
• Help with catering setups, special event preparations, and meal assembly as needed

Skills

• Experience in prep cook role is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
• Excellent knife skills for efficient and precise food handling
• Prior restaurant or food industry experience demonstrating ability to work quickly under pressure
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of catering, serving, and general food service operations is a plus
