Role Overview
We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help build and maintain our iMessage-based product. This is a low-hour, high-ownership role ideal for someone curious about iOS internals, messaging extensions, and early-stage product development.
You’ll work closely with the founder on product iterations, bug fixes, and small feature improvements as we prepare for broader rollout.
What You’ll Work On
- iMessage app extensions and related iOS components
- Swift-based feature implementation and maintenance
- Improving interaction flows and reliability inside Messages
- Light backend/API integration support (as needed)
- Debugging and shipping incremental improvements
Requirements
- Based in the United States
- Access to Apple hardware (Mac) and ability to run Xcode
- Familiarity with Swift and iOS development fundamentals
- Interest in iMessage apps, extensions, or messaging-based UX
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Able to commit ~1–3 hours per week
Nice to Have
- Experience with iOS app extensions or non-standard Apple surfaces
- Exposure to early-stage startups or side projects
- Curiosity about AI-powered products and productivity tools
Compensation
This role is unpaid initially while we are pre-revenue. Our intention is to transition to paid compensation once revenue is generated. This will be communicated transparently as the company progresses.
