Girls’ LEAP is seeking a Youth Leadership Program Coordinator to support the delivery of empowerment-based programming and the development of teen leaders. This role combines direct facilitation, youth mentorship, and program coordination to ensure high-quality after-school and community programming.
The Youth Leadership Program Coordinator will lead workshops for youth, support the growth of teen leaders, and coordinate scheduling and logistics to ensure programs run smoothly.
Approximately 75% of the role focuses on program facilitation, while 25% focuses on administrative coordination, including teen leadership support and scheduling.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Facilitation & Leadership (75%)
· Lead and facilitate Girls’ LEAP workshops and programs for youth in schools and community spaces.

· Model strong facilitation practices and trauma-informed teaching approaches.
· Adapt programming to meet the needs of diverse youth participants.
· Represent Girls’ LEAP at program sites and maintain strong relationships with partner schools and community organizations.
Teen Leadership Program Coordination
· Hire, train, mentor, and supervise teen leaders participating in Girls’ LEAP programming.
· Support teens in developing facilitation, leadership, and mentorship skills.
· Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development for teen leaders.
· Create opportunities for teens to co-facilitate programs and grow into leadership roles.
· Foster a supportive and empowering environment that promotes confidence, accountability, and collaboration among teen leaders.
Scheduling & Program Coordination
· Manage and maintain the Girls’ LEAP program schedule, including workshops, training, and teen-led programming.
· Coordinate staffing assignments for programs and training.
· Communicate schedules and updates with staff, teen leaders, and partner organizations.
· Ensure programs are appropriately staffed and run smoothly.
Administrative Responsibilities (25%)
· Support recruitment and onboarding of teen leaders.
· Assist with preparing materials and logistics for training and workshops.
· Maintain program records, attendance tracking, and documentation as needed.
· Collaborate with program staff on planning and program improvements.
· Participate in staff meetings, training, and organizational events.
Qualifications
· Associate degree required; candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree strongly encouraged to apply.
· Experience working with youth or teens, particularly in leadership development or mentorship roles.
· Experience with facilitation, teaching, or youth programming.
· Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
· Ability to mentor young leaders and support collaborative learning environments.
· Commitment to youth empowerment, equity, and trauma-informed practices.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in education, youth development, social work, psychology, or a related field (in progress or completed).
· Experience coordinating programs or supervising youth leaders.
· Collaborative teamwork
Additional Requirements
· Ability to travel to program sites throughout the Boston area.
· Ability to participate in movement-based programming and demonstrations.
· Occasional evening or weekend events may be required.
