What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Research, process, and resolve customer and healthcare provider inquiries regarding benefits and insurance eligibility
- Relay detailed information to customers, managers, and clients
- Initiate status reports or service recovery communications as needed
- Educate customers and team members on relevant policies, procedures, and specific benefits
- Document interactions in the tracking system to maintain organized records
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or retail environment
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Basic math skills and the ability to analyze detailed information
- Typing speed of 30+ words per minute
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing
- Familiarity with health insurance industry terminology
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and applicable benefits
- Understanding of customer service techniques
