Winding Operator – 2nd Shift Full Time NEW

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Winding Operator to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating winding machines, maintaining production quality, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor machines at the start of the shift and throughout production
• Creel and doff packages on winding machines
• Perform air splicing on production orders
• Handle rewinds and change over production orders as needed
• Complete production tickets accurately
• Report equipment issues to the Technician promptly
• Meet daily production goals
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Identify and report quality concerns to the supervisor
• Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to meet production standards after training
• Ability to read and understand work orders and specification sheets
• Basic math and documentation skills
• Willingness to cross-train on different equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 9 lbs
• Good hand dexterity and coordination
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs
• Must be able to distinguish colors (color vision required)

Work Environment & Safety

• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards in work area

Tools & Equipment

• Winding machines, air splicer
• Work order tickets, cones, packages
• Basic tools (knife ring, broom, etc.)
