Blue Haven Pools & Spas is one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the pool and spa industry, with 63+ locations and a clear trajectory toward 125+ units. We have spent years building an operationally sound franchise system — and now we are ready to scale.
This is the inflection point. We have the brand, the infrastructure, and the capital to double our footprint. What we need is an elite franchise development executive who has done this before — someone who knows what it takes to build a national network and is ready to leave their mark on a category-leading organization.
The VP of Growth & Franchise Development will report directly to executive leadership and own the full franchise development function: strategy, pipeline, territory expansion, and franchisee quality. This is a true builder role with significant career upside and organizational impact.

Role Summary
The VP of Growth & Franchise Development is an executive-level role responsible for developing and executing a national growth strategy that drives franchise expansion, market development, territory optimization, and long-term enterprise value.
You will own franchise development end-to-end: from identifying expansion markets and building a candidate pipeline to closing franchise agreements and ensuring new franchisees are set up for long-term success. You will also build, lead, and develop a high-performing development team.
Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth Leadership
• Develop and execute a national growth strategy aligned with Blue Haven’s goal of doubling the franchise network.
• Identify new market opportunities, expansion territories, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Establish annual and multi-year development plans designed to accelerate brand growth and market penetration.
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and new expansion models.
Franchise Development & Expansion
• Own the full franchise development lifecycle — from prospect identification through signed agreements.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified franchise candidates using franchise sales platforms (FranConnect, Salesforce, or equivalent).
• Design and implement scalable franchise recruitment systems and lead generation strategies.
• Lead executive-level discovery days, candidate presentations, and closing conversations.
• Evaluate prospects for operational, financial, and cultural fit with the Blue Haven brand.
• Ensure full compliance with FTC franchise regulations and FDD disclosure requirements.
Market Development & Territory Strategy
• Analyze market opportunities using demographic, competitive, and economic data.
• Develop territory strategies that maximize long-term network performance and avoid cannibalization.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and real estate to ensure successful market launches.
Partnership Development
• Build and maintain relationships with franchise brokers, consultants, investment groups, and industry partners.
• Represent Blue Haven at franchise conferences, trade shows, and development forums (IFA and similar).
• Establish strategic alliances that support accelerated growth objectives.
Executive Leadership & Team Building
• Build, mentor, and lead a franchise development team as the organization scales.
• Establish KPIs, pipeline forecasting models, and performance reporting systems.
• Deliver strategic updates and growth recommendations to executive leadership.
• Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and operational excellence.
QualificationsRequired
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, or related field. Master’s Degree Preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in franchise development, business development, or multi-unit expansion.
• 5+ years of executive or senior leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success scaling a regional or national franchise system.
• Deep familiarity with the FDD process, FTC disclosure requirements, and franchise sales compliance.
• Hands-on experience with franchise sales CRMs and pipeline management tools.
• Proven track record of achieving aggressive franchise sales and territory development targets.
Preferred
• Leadership experience with nationally recognized growth brands (Starbucks, Chipotle, Planet Fitness, Orangetheory, Jersey Mike’s, or similar).
• Background in pool & spa, home services, outdoor living, or home improvement franchising.
• Experience working alongside executive leadership and boards in high-growth environments.
• Strong cross-functional fluency across operations, finance, marketing, and real estate.

• Franchisee quality — financial health, operational performance, retention
• Pipeline velocity and lead-to-close conversion rates
• Revenue growth attributable to new unit openings
• Achievement of 3-year doubling plan milestones
