Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Video/Short Form Content Editor. The editor will be responsible for creating engaging short-form video content, editing videos for social media platforms, and collaborating with the team to streamline the visual storytelling process. Key responsibilities include editing raw footage, integrating graphics or text, optimizing content for various platforms, and ensuring the videos effectively engage the target audience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
• Experience in creating short-form content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Background in video editing techniques, storytelling, and visual composition
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with motion graphics and basic graphic design
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team setting
• Ability to adapt to emerging social media trends and audience engagement strategies
• Having a passion for weather tracking or prior experience in disaster communication is a plus
