Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Vice President of Strategy at Gisma University of Applied Sciences. The Vice President of Strategy will lead the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of the university’s strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with institutional mission, market trends, and growth objectives. Daily responsibilities include conducting market and competitive analyses, evaluating new program and partnership opportunities, and driving digital and organizational transformation initiatives. The role will collaborate closely with senior leadership, academic departments, and the broader Global University Systems network to prioritize strategic projects, define KPIs, and monitor performance against targets. The Vice President of Strategy will also prepare executive-level reports and presentations, support budgeting and resource allocation decisions with data-based insights, and mentor teams involved in strategic and change initiatives.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and recommendations.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, ideally within higher education, professional education, or a related knowledge-intensive sector.
• Background in consulting, corporate strategy, or business transformation, with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
• Solid understanding of finance, including business cases, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis for strategic projects.
• Exposure to digital strategy, including online education models, digital transformation, and the use of technology to enhance learner experience and operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team development, mentoring, and the management of remote and multicultural teams.
• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Management, Public Policy, or a related field; a doctorate or MBA is a plus.
• Experience in an international or cross-cultural environment and a strong interest in global higher education trends.
