Vice President of International Trade Full Time

The Vice President of International Trade is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global trade strategy, overseeing end-to-end import/export operations, market expansion, and trade compliance to drive sustainable international revenue and supply chain resilience.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and lead the company’s international trade strategy, including market entry, product mix, sourcing, sales, and distribution across regions.
• Oversee import/export operations: pricing, contracts, logistics, customs clearance, duties, and landed-cost management.
• Lead business development for overseas markets, building and managing key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Trade Compliance to align trade activities with commercial, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with trade laws, sanctions, export controls, and customs regulations across all operating jurisdictions.
• Monitor global trade risks (tariffs, geopolitical, currency, supply disruptions) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Build and mentor international trade teams, including sales, operations, compliance, and logistics functions.

Typical Profile

• 15+ years in international trade, import/export operations, global sales, or supply chain leadership.
• Strong track record of scaling cross-border business and delivering measurable revenue and margin growth.
• Deep understanding of Incoterms, customs, tariffs, trade compliance, and international payment terms.
• Executive presence, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
