Vice President – Healthcare – Biopharma Full Time

We are looking for a Vice President to join the Healthcare Group in the New York office to focus on the biopharmaceutical space. The New York-based team is a key part of Lazard’s global healthcare practice and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for companies across the U.S. The ideal candidate for this role will have significant exposure and expertise with leading pharmaceutical and emerging biotech companies.

We’ll Trust You To

• Perform financial analyses and create models
• Prepare and create client presentations and marketing materials
• Interact with client senior executives
• Manage deal processes
• Provide guidance to and supervise Associates and Analysts

You’ll Need To Have

• At least three years of investment banking experience (M&A experience strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated team player attitude and leadership qualities with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
• Meaningful exposure to and passion for the Biopharmaceutical sector
• Top academic performance with comfort operating in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, and maturity
• Ability to support, manage and empower junior bankers
• Strong client and presentation skills
• Strong quantitative background and analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Bachelor’s degree required, an MBA or MS/PhD/MD would be an asset

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $250,000 – $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
