UI/UX Engineer Full Time NEW

This is not a traditional UI/UX design role.

We’re looking for someone with strong taste in UI/UX, genuine curiosity about how products behave, and the ability to turn ideas into usable interfaces quickly using AI tools.

You don’t need to be a production-level software engineer. But you should be tech-savvy enough to understand how digital products are built, collaborate comfortably with engineers, and use AI-assisted tools to create prototypes, pages, flows, and product concepts.

The goal is simple: help Flowmingo move faster from product idea to clear, usable, polished experience.

What You’ll Work On

AI-Assisted Prototyping & Interface Building

Turn rough product ideas into clear screens, flows, prototypes, and landing experiences.

• Create product flows, wireframes, and interface concepts in Figma, AI design tools, or AI coding tools
• Prototype quickly with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Bolt, Framer, or Webflow
• Build clickable prototypes, simple web pages, and frontend mockups
• Explore multiple UI directions fast, rather than over-investing in a single static version
• Help the team visualize ideas before full engineering work begins
• Refine rough AI-generated output into something cleaner, more trustworthy, and more usable

We don’t expect perfect production code — we do expect comfort experimenting with AI tools, an understanding of frontend constraints, and output that engineers can build from.

Product UX, User Flows & Activation

Flowmingo serves recruiters, hiring teams, and candidates. The experience needs to feel simple, trustworthy, and useful from the first interaction.

• Improve candidate interview flows
• Improve recruiter dashboards, reports, and product screens
• Design onboarding that helps users understand the product faster
• Make complex AI outputs easier to read, trust, and act on
• Strengthen activation moments, empty states, success states, error states, and next-step guidance
• Identify where users feel confused, stuck, or unsure — and fix it
• Translate user feedback into clear UX improvements

Good UX here means more than how something looks. It means helping users understand what’s happening, what to do next, and why they can trust the product.

UI Taste, Design Systems & Product Polish

Raise the quality bar across Flowmingo’s product surfaces.

• Improve layout, spacing, hierarchy, typography, color, and visual consistency
• Create reusable UI patterns, components, and design guidelines
• Keep product screens, landing pages, and marketing assets visually consistent
• Make AI interview reports, dashboards, and summaries easier to scan
• Sharpen microcopy, labels, CTAs, and user-facing messaging
• Help build a clean, modern, trustworthy product experience

We’re not looking for someone who only makes things look pretty. We want someone who makes things feel clear, useful, intentional, and easy to use.

You May Be a Good Fit If You

• Are genuinely excited about AI-native product building
• Have strong taste in UI, layout, structure, and user experience
• Use AI tools to design, prototype, and build faster
• Are comfortable with tools like Figma, Framer, Webflow, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Bolt, Claude, or ChatGPT
• Aren’t a professional engineer, but aren’t intimidated by technical products or code-like workflows
• Can turn vague ideas into clear screens, flows, or prototypes
• Can explain why a design works — or doesn’t
• Notice when a product feels confusing, messy, or untrustworthy
• Care about both speed and quality
• Are comfortable working in English and enjoy picking up new tools quickly

Strong Signals

You don’t need to excel at everything. It’s a strong signal if you can do even one of the following:

• Build a simple web page or product prototype using AI tools
• Turn a messy idea into a clean product flow
• Redesign a confusing screen and explain your reasoning
• Use Figma to create wireframes, components, or high-fidelity screens
• Use AI coding tools to generate a working frontend prototype
• Apply basic frontend concepts — components, states, responsiveness, design systems
• Create clean landing pages, dashboards, reports, or product interfaces
• Improve UX copy, CTAs, onboarding, or user guidance
• Share a portfolio, side project, class project, or AI-built experiment

We care less about your degree or past title, and more about your product taste, how fast you learn, and how well you use AI to turn ideas into action.

What This Role Is Not

• Not a pure graphic design role
• Not a traditional UI/UX role where you only create Figma screens and hand them off
• Not a production engineering role where you own the full codebase

This is a builder role for someone who wants to work close to product, design, AI tools, and engineering — moving fluidly between idea, flow, interface, prototype, feedback, and iteration.
