Job Overview: As Director of Training and Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing BVNK’s global talent development strategy. In the context of the company’s acquisition by Mastercard and its rapid expansion, your core mission is to establish a superior global training system to ensure our team possesses top-tier professionalism in the complexities of fiat and cryptocurrency convergence. You will build a learning architecture that supports collaboration across time zones for thousands of employees, directly driving organizational effectiveness.
You will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and work closely with business unit heads, compliance teams, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Learning System: Responsible for the end-to-end training process, from new employee onboarding to senior leadership development, ensuring a high level of alignment between the global team and BVNK’s vision and business.
Business Professional Capability Enhancement: Design in-depth training courses on cross-border payments, stablecoin settlement, and blockchain technology, ensuring that operations, customer service, and sales teams possess industry-leading professional knowledge.
Compliance and Risk Education: Collaborate with the compliance team to translate regulatory requirements under EMI and VASP licenses into actionable and easily understood training modules, enhancing compliance awareness across all employees.
Learning Technology and Platform Management: Introduce and optimize an advanced Learning Management System (LMS), leveraging automation tools to achieve scalable training and supporting remote synchronous learning across hundreds of sites globally.
Cross-Departmental Talent Empowerment: Act as a bridge between various business lines and the talent development team, accurately identifying skill gaps in each department and driving knowledge iteration in payment infrastructure construction through customized solutions.
Performance and Development Analysis: Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as training coverage, learning transfer rate, and the contribution of training to business metrics (e.g., STP improvement).
Global Mentor Culture Development: Lead and cultivate a globally distributed team of internal instructors, establishing a culture of knowledge sharing and mentorship.
Job Requirements:
Industry Experience: 8+ years of experience in talent development and training management in fintech, payments, or top-tier banking; experience in establishing SOPs and training systems in rapidly expanding startups.
Payments and Technology Understanding: In-depth understanding of global payment clearing systems, correspondent banking models, and the operational logic of blockchain/cryptocurrency wallets.
Change Management Capabilities: Practical experience in cultural integration and personnel empowerment in the context of large acquisitions or organizational transformations.
Regulatory Understanding: Familiarity with the highly compliant operating environment of the financial industry, able to balance the fun of learning with the rigor of regulation.
Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent systemic thinking ability, able to break down complex business logic into easily digestible teaching content.
Communication Skills: Excellent English communication and presentation skills; ability to manage teams and motivate global employees across cultures and time zones.
