• Conduct aptitude and qualification examinations for applicants of various Armed Services at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and aptitude examinations for students at high schools.
• Administer, proctor, and score applicant exams ensuring quality and integrity of examination practices and procedures.
• Brief applicants on military examination procedures and eligibility requirements.
• Maintain strict accountability and security of all testing materials and equipment.
• Brief applicants, distribute and proctor examinations, and score exams.
• Answer phone and e-mail queries from recruiters, liaisons, applicants, and other management personnel.
• Operate a variety of office automation equipment.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• The duties of this position require you to possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions.
• This position requires you to cross-train in other functions of the MEPS (such as processing) and perform these functions as required.
• This position requires you to handle accountable test materials.
• This position requires you to conduct test sessions at remote sites, to include administration of high school tests at inner city, rural, and/or at risk schools with large populations (greater than 100 students).
• This position requires you to work occasional evenings and weekends. If the MEPS conducts night testing, this work will entail night shift work when the Test Clerk is the only employee in the building.
• Evenings (if applicable): 1130-2000, Saturdays: 0530-1430, Sundays (if applicable): 1400-2000, Morning Opening Shift: 0530–1430
• Frequent local travel and occasional TDY may be required (may require hotel stay for multiple nights to meet mission requirements).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which Conducting standardized examination sessions in a controlled environment; Briefing applicants on examination practices and procedures; Utilizing automated systems to enter and retrieve data; Safeguarding sensitive or controlled testing materials and applicant packages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
