The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused recruiter with a passion for delighting the client and candidate, to join our recruiting organization. You will be supporting AWS teams dedicated to working on behalf of our commercial sector customers to drive candidate generation strategies in partnership with your clients.

Successful recruiters on this team will utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics while prioritizing to meet hiring targets. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies to attract passive, world-class Tech talent across AWS’s broad and diverse portfolio of businesses
• Build and maintain robust, always-on candidate pipelines for Tech roles across the entire AWS organization
• Become a deep subject matter expert in the specific AWS flywheels you are aligned to, while leveraging the team’s cross-AWS reach to identify the best home for every candidate
• Conduct intake and sourcing sessions with Hiring Managers and technical teams to generate referral leads and qualified candidate pipelines
• Perform proactive outreach, candidate engagement, and initial screening to assess technical background, career motivations, and role alignment
• Partner closely with Recruiting Business Partners and Hiring Managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience from first contact through offer
• Collaborate fluidly across the broader team to place talent wherever the best fit exists within AWS — not just within a single org
• Continuously map target companies, talent ecosystems, and technical communities relevant to your aligned businesses
• Leverage AI-powered tools throughout every stage of the sourcing lifecycle — from intake sessions and candidate outreach to recruiter screens and prep calls — to drive efficiency and elevate the quality of every interaction
• Communicate pipeline health, sourcing progress, and market insights to stakeholders through regular updates
• Contribute to team-wide sourcing best practices, AI adoption initiatives, and process improvements that raise the bar for Tech sourcing across AWS

You will spend your days building and managing Tech talent pipelines across the entire AWS organization — no two searches are the same, and no two businesses are alike. From developing deep expertise in the specific AWS flywheels you are aligned to, to collaborating across the team to find the right home for candidates across all of AWS, your work sits at the intersection of precision and scale. You will engage passive, world-class software engineering talent through proactive outreach, sourcing sessions, referral campaigns, and target company mapping — while leveraging AI-powered tools at every stage, from intake and sourcing to recruiter screens and prep calls, to move faster and smarter. Because our team operates across all of AWS, when a candidate isn’t the right fit for one org, the answer is rarely “no” — it’s “let’s find where they belong.”

About The Team

The AWS Sourcing Team is the center of excellence for Tech hiring across AWS — and one of the highest-performing sourcing teams in the company. We are a specialized team of experts who operate at the AWS level, supporting Tech hiring across the entire AWS organization. Each member develops deep expertise in the specific AWS flywheels they are aligned to, while leveraging the team’s cross-AWS reach to find the right home for every candidate.

We are looking for a Sourcing Recruiter with strong business acumen, a passion for passive talent engagement, and a team-first mindset.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting mid to high-level tech talent in competitive markets experience
• Experience building candidate sourcing and closing strategies
• 5+ years of passive candidate generation experience
• 5+ years of working with CRM, ATS, or related applicant tracking software systems and analytics tools experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
• Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow among candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team
• Experience working with essential tools of the trade, resume databases, and internet sourcing tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
