2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer, Strategic Projects role is part of a team dedicated to demonstrating why this platform should be the default connectivity solution for developers and organizations. The position involves creating prototypes and proofs of concept, collaborating with reference customers on integrations, and producing visible artifacts that showcase how the platform addresses AI infrastructure, agentic tooling, and identity-aware networking challenges. This role contributes by rapidly delivering secure, high-quality solutions that shape the platform”s future.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept demonstrating platform use in AI agents and tooling.

• Collaborate with reference customers to integrate the platform for internal and product use cases.

• Produce reference architectures and share work through documentation, open source, community engagement, and presentations.

• Iterate quickly based on feedback from colleagues and customers.

• Maintain production standards on prototypes, including security and code review practices.

• Travel occasionally (approximately 10-15%) for team meetings, conferences, or customer visits.

4. Requirements:

• Experience with rapid prototyping and explaining technical concepts in fast-paced, exploratory environments.

• Proficiency in Go programming language and comfort with third-party API integration and basic networking.

• Regular use of coding agents and large language models in development workflows, with understanding of their benefits and limitations.

• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and short prototype-to-production timelines while maintaining high quality.

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• US Pay Range $163,000—$226,000 USD
