Software Engineer (Radar)

Salary range: $125,000-$165,000
Overview
We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join client’s advanced sensing team and help build the core software and algorithms behind modern radar and RF-based perception systems. Please reach out to Chris McMillan at cmcmillan@alexandertg.com with an updated resume if you are interested.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement signal processing and state-estimation algorithms for radar and RF sensors.
- Build and optimize real-time C++ software that delivers high performance and clean, usable interfaces.
- Architect modular, well-tested software components that are easy to maintain and integrate across teams.
- Create automated test and validation pipelines to ensure correctness and accelerate delivery.
- Design data analysis and automation tools to evaluate system performance and guide algorithm improvements.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and product teams to transition research into deployed solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with modern C++ and performance-critical software development.
- Knowledge of estimation, filtering, or sensor-fusion techniques.
- Solid foundation in object-oriented design and software architecture.
- Experience using Python for analysis, prototyping, or automation.
- Experience in RF, radar, and sensing technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident due to work in restricted U.S. Government environments.
