About The Role

The Senior Software Engineer role is a pivotal position within our remote team, primarily focused on designing, developing, and maintaining our innovative digital platforms. The successful candidate will lead agile development teams, collaborate with architects and solution engineers, and contribute to the enterprise-level design of complex systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects such as custom-developed platforms, automated testing frameworks, and scalable cloud-based solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with 4+ years of experience in software application development and maintenance
• Or High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency with Java 11+ and related frameworks
• Experience with standard design patterns such as Factories, Command, Facade, Adapter, etc.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks
• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture principles
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of Postman, Docker, Kubernetes, and Scrum/Agile methodologies
• Experience with API testing, automation, and UI development (preferred)
• Experience leading development teams (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead SCRUM Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Collaborate with architects and solution engineers to design scalable, reliable, and functional technical solutions
• Oversee proactive maintenance of existing IaaS/SaaS and on-premise applications across various domains including Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services
• Coordinate troubleshooting efforts for code defects, data errors, and configuration issues to identify root causes
• Support and maintain business-critical and complex applications to ensure high availability and performance
• Apply judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate technical actions
• Implement and promote departmental best practices, coding standards, and guidelines
• Design and develop real-time and file-based integrations, optimizing database processing where applicable
• Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Contribute to enterprise-level system design and participate in strategic planning for technology adoption
• Support automation testing initiatives and UI development projects as needed
