REAL TIME CONSULTING (An RTCo Company)—POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Software Engineer – Aircraft State About The Job Be part of a team that is responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years Aerospace Industry experience
- Experience in avionics software requirement development
- Experience in avionics validation
- Experience in avionics integration
- Experience in avionics verification
- Experience with ARINC 661 model-based graphics software development
- Experience working with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS, etc.)
- Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC, etc.)
- Familiar with DO-178
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Accountable and takes ownership of assigned tasks
- Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Simulink model-based design
- Experience with Ansys SCADE model-based graphics software development platform
- Experience with model-based systems design
- Familiar with ARP-4754
