Shop Helper / Maintenance Assistant
MinnComm Construction – Mora, MN
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour Full-Time | Monday–Friday
MinnComm Construction is looking for a reliable, hardworking Shop Helper / Maintenance Assistant to support our Shop Manager, Chris, in keeping our fleet, shop, yard, and equipment running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying busy, and learning more about equipment and fleet maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with shop and yard organization
- Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Complete oil changes and routine service work
- Wash, clean, and organize trucks and equipment
- Pick up and deliver parts as needed
- Assist with inventory and parts organization
- Keep the shop, yard, and storage areas clean and orderly
- Help mechanics and field crews with miscellaneous tasks
- Lawn care and general property maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required, pass pre-employment drug screen (no thc)
- Ability to safely perform oil changes and basic maintenance tasks
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
- Experience with construction equipment or trucks is a plus, but willing to train the right person
