Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Procurement Director to lead enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, procurement transformation programs, and supplier relationship management across global operations. The successful candidate will drive strategic procurement excellence while leveraging emerging technologies including blockchain, AI-driven analytics, smart contracts, and digital procurement platforms to enhance transparency, traceability, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the supply chain ecosystem.
This role requires strong leadership capabilities, cross-functional collaboration skills, and expertise in modern procurement technologies to optimize cost structures, reduce supply chain risks, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute enterprise procurement strategies aligned with business growth objectives and global sourcing initiatives.
Lead strategic sourcing programs and supplier portfolio optimization across multiple categories and regions.
Design and implement blockchain-enabled procurement solutions for supplier authentication, material traceability, and transaction transparency.
Drive adoption of smart contracts to automate procurement agreements, supplier payments, and compliance monitoring processes.
Establish blockchain-based supplier lifecycle management frameworks to improve data integrity and auditability.
Lead digital procurement transformation initiatives integrating:
Blockchain technology
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Predictive analytics
Cloud procurement platforms
ERP systems
Supplier risk management tools
Develop supplier performance scorecards and KPI frameworks to monitor cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and operational performance.
Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, and Supply Chain teams to improve procurement effectiveness.
Identify procurement risks and establish mitigation strategies related to supply continuity, cybersecurity, and supplier compliance.
Lead contract negotiations for high-value strategic partnerships and global supplier agreements.
Manage procurement budgets, cost reduction targets, and operational efficiency programs.
Lead and mentor high-performing procurement and sourcing teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
MBA preferred.
12+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience.
7+ years of senior management experience leading global procurement functions.
Experience implementing digital procurement platforms and procurement transformation programs.
Knowledge of blockchain applications within supply chain and procurement environments.
Experience with ERP systems such as:
SAP
Oracle
Coupa
Ariba
Strong knowledge of:
Strategic sourcing methodologies
Supplier relationship management (SRM)
Contract management
Risk management
Category management
