Senior Field Application Engineer Automotive Ethernet Full Time

Location: San Jose, CA (Bay Area) | Onsite

Job Description:

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support including customer presentation.
• Understand customer requirements, and deliver technical presentations, reports, documents and technology demonstrations.
• Develop Automotive SW customization
• Support customer product development and design.
• Support customer issue analysis and resolution.
• On-site support for debug or certification test.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Realtek internal resources.

Qualifications:

• M.S. in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of progressive professional technical experience in IC design or related areas, direct experience in IC design house AE/FAE is preferred.
• Strong software development experience; automotive software experience (e.g., AUTOSAR) is a plus.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer presentation skills (including preparation of presentation materials).
• Fluent English required for customer-facing communication.
• Fluent Mandarin required for cross-regional collaboration with stakeholders/teams.
• Familiarity with Ethernet protocols is a plus.
• Familiarity with the automotive ecosystem is a plus.
• Experience of Linux system is a plus.
• Team leadership/people management experience is a plus.
