Senior Engineering Manager, Tenant Experience Platform Full Time

This is a strategic engineering leadership role focused on defining and scaling the foundational platform capabilities that shape how large-scale software systems are operated, observed, and upgraded. You will lead multiple distributed engineering teams responsible for tenant-facing and operator-facing platform experiences, including observability, upgrade orchestration, and tenant control systems. The role requires strong technical leadership across complex distributed systems and Kubernetes-based architectures, with impact spanning cloud-native, dedicated, and self-managed environments. You will play a key role in building a unified tenant experience strategy that reduces operational complexity and improves system reliability at scale. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape platform direction, drive engineering excellence, and influence cross-functional architecture decisions. Accountabilities

• Lead and scale multiple engineering teams focused on observability, tenant controls, and upgrade tooling across a large platform ecosystem.
• Define and drive a unified Tenant Experience strategy across cloud-native, self-managed, and dedicated deployment models.
• Provide technical and organizational direction across distributed systems, including observability frameworks, self-healing mechanisms, feature flagging, rate limiting, and upgrade orchestration.
• Partner closely with senior engineering leaders, staff/principal engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure platform alignment and system coherence.
• Coach and develop engineering managers, supporting team health, execution, hiring, and organizational design.
• Translate platform strategy into clear, actionable roadmaps with measurable milestones and delivery ownership.
• Own production outcomes related to reliability, upgrade performance, and tenant operational experience.
• Drive execution clarity and foster high-quality technical decision-making across evolving requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing engineering managers and leading multi-team engineering organizations at scale.
• Strong background in building or evolving engineering functions in complex, distributed system environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms and large-scale SaaS architectures supporting cloud, hybrid, and self-managed deployments.
• Knowledge of on-premises, bare metal, or non-cloud-first environments and their operational constraints.
• Deep understanding of observability practices (metrics, logs, traces, SLIs/SLOs) and reliability engineering principles.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and guide cross-system integration decisions.
• Experience leading through ambiguity, aligning distributed teams, and building execution clarity.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development workflows and developer productivity tools.
