Position Overview
THOM Group is seeking a commercially minded and execution-focused Senior Director of Project Management to lead high-impact business and retail transformation initiatives across its multi-brand portfolio.
This role is not IT-driven. Instead, it focuses on retail operations, customer experience, and business performance improvement, ensuring strategic initiatives are effectively executed across markets and brands.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Transformation Leadership
- Lead group-level initiatives focused on:
- Retail performance improvement
- Store operations optimization
- Customer experience enhancement
- Commercial effectiveness
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable execution plans across brands and regions
2. PMO & Execution Excellence
- Establish and lead a business-focused PMO (non-IT)
- Define clear execution frameworks, timelines, and accountability structures
- Drive discipline in project delivery (timelines, budgets, KPIs)
3. Cross-functional Business Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Retail Operations
- Marketing & Brand Teams
- Merchandising
- Supply Chain (business side)
- Ensure alignment between strategy and field execution
4. Store & Field Operations Projects
- Lead initiatives such as:
- New store openings & rollouts
- Store concept upgrades / refurbishments
- Sales productivity improvement programs
- In-store experience optimization
5. Change Management
- Drive adoption of new processes across store networks
- Support regional teams in implementing new operating models
- Remove execution barriers at field level
6. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Define KPIs tied to:
- Sales performance
- Store efficiency
- Customer experience
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership with actionable insights
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years experience in:
- Retail operations
- Business transformation
- Multi-site / multi-country environments
- Proven track record in:
- Store network management or retail excellence programs
- Leading cross-functional business initiatives
- Strong background in:
- Fashion, jewelry, or consumer retail
- (NOT IT / systems implementation focused)
