About Project:
The project involves working on an existing backend application built in PHP, focused on developing and maintaining RESTful APIs that support business functionality and integrations with other systems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and enhancing backend services and APIs
- Working extensively with SQL databases for data processing and optimization
- Maintaining and improving application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborating with frontend and other teams to support end-to-end feature delivery
Key Requirement
The client is looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong PHP experience, focused on building and maintaining RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.
This is not a DevOps or CI/CD-heavy role.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in PHP development (Laravel/Symfony preferred)
- Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs
- Solid SQL/database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL)
- Experience in backend development for production applications
- Familiarity with version control (Git)
Additional/Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with testing tools (Playwright, PyUnit, etc.)
- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Splunk)

- 5+ years of experience with programming SQL for database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Postgres
- 5+ years of strong development proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML,CSS technologies

- Familiarity with markup languages such as XML, JSON, YAML, and HTML
