Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive social and emotional support to students, collaborate with staff and families, and implement strategies that promote positive behavioral health and well-being. Your expertise will help create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.

Duties

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including child protective services considerations.
• Develop individualized support plans that address crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavioral health challenges.
• Provide direct counseling services to students, focusing on working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and special education populations.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and external agencies to coordinate services related to child welfare and mental health.
• Facilitate crisis management procedures during emergencies or behavioral incidents, ensuring student safety at all times.
• Advocate for students’ needs within the school setting while maintaining compliance with child protective services protocols.
• Lead group sessions on topics such as conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and cultural diversity counseling.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
• Proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, preferably within special education environments.
• Strong knowledge of child welfare laws, child protective services procedures, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Excellent skills in crisis management, conflict resolution, and behavioral health support.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and foster an inclusive environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and external agencies.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
